Python Introduction

This workshop is hosted by a group of interdisciplinary graduate students at Colorado School of Mines called Chemists who Code. Chemists who Code works to help scientists and professionals learn how they can use programming to streamline their research and administrative tasks.

Workshops are geared towards bringing people up to speed on the basics of python so that it can be used a tool for data analysis and plotting using packages like numpy, pandas, and matplotlib.

In this workshop, you'll:

  • Install Python
  • Set up environments
  • Learn basic data handling
  • Plotting

This workshop is part of the Career Toolkit for Graduate Students workshop series. Career Toolkit for Graduate Students & Postdocs is a workshop series aiming to provide early career researchers with tips, tools, and best practices across the research lifecycle as well as prepare students for life beyond school.

The series is hosted weekly by Seth Vuletich, Scholarly Communications Librarian.
