Introduction to Effective Teaching

This workshop presented by Carter Moulton and Amy Hermundstad Nave from the Trefny Innovative Instruction Center provides an introduction to characteristics of effective teaching and learning at Colorado School of Mines. In addition to being provided with resources to support their teaching journeys, participants will have a chance to reflect on their own learning and teaching experiences, as well as discuss the particular challenges, highlights, and strategies that accompany teaching as a graduate student.

This workshop is part of the Career Toolkit for Graduate Students workshop series. Career Toolkit for Graduate Students is a workshop series aiming to provide early career researchers with tips, tools, and best practices across the research lifecycle as well as prepare students for life beyond school.

The series is hosted weekly by Seth Vuletich, Scholarly Communications Librarian, and Roel Snieder, Director of the Center for Professional Development Education.
